14 & under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70-74, 75 & Over.

Utah Valley Marathon CLOSER (Negative Split) Award

Any athlete that runs within the 6 hour time limit and manages to run the second half faster than the first half will be awarded our CLOSER plaque.  These athletes that run a negative split can pick up their award at our orange tent on the courthouse grounds in the finish area. We will not mail these awards, so make sure to pick it up at the orange tent.

Utah Valley Marathon Overall Awards

• Overall Men & Women Champion will receive $1,600 cash prize, Champion’s Cup, & a watch.
• 2nd Place for Overall Men & Women will receive $800 cash and an acrylic plaque.
• 3rd Place for Overall Men & Women will receive $500 cash and an acrylic plaque.
• 4th Place for Overall Men & Women will receive $300 cash and an acrylic plaque.
• 5th Place for Overall Men & Women will receive $200 cash and an acrylic plaque.

High Performance Bonus

All male athletes who complete the marathon course in a time less than 2:20.00 will receive a $500 bonus in addition to other prize money they may earn from their overall placing.

All female athletes who complete the marathon course in a time less than 2:45.00 will receive a $500 bonus in addition to other prize money they may earn from their overall placing.

Utah State Record Bonus³

Any athlete that beats the fastest recorded time in Utah for their gender will receive $2,000 in addition to their first place prize money and the $500 high performance bonus. The current men’s record is 2:14:44 (2017 St. George Marathon). The current women’s record is 2:30:07 (2005 SLC Marathon). Only one Utah State Record cash bonus per year per gender will be paid. Only the first place athlete will receive the Utah State Record bonus. In the event that multiple athletes of the same gender beat the previous record, only the fastest, first place overall finisher of each gender will receive the prize.

Exclusions & Restrictions

¹Athletes that receive overall or master’s awards will not be eligible for age divisions awards

²Overall and master’s awards are based upon athletes’ gun time. Age group awards are based on athletes’ chip time.

³Only the first place athlete may win the $2000 Utah State Record bonus.
