So what kind of course can you expect from the Utah Valley Marathon? One of the things we and our runners love the most is the variety of the trail that this marathon takes, which reflects the variety of environments found in Utah. It starts in Wallsburg, Utah and we enter the canyon to be surrounded by the regal majesty of the mountains. Utah’s mountains are known for their beauty. Utah’s well known mountains are filled with alpine groves, meadows, pine forests, and the greatest snow on earth.
At one point, the mountains open up a bit and the runners will be treated to a view of the deer creek reservoir, which is peaceful and serene. Towards the end of the race, runners will run right through the heart of beautiful downtown Provo.
The whole course is on a gentle downward slope, and will be fast paced from start to finish. You’ll be treated to some of the gems of Utah, including Bridal Veil Falls and the new Downtown Provo City Center Temple. Aid stations and restrooms will dot the course for our runners benefit. We can’t wait to share this incredible experience with you!
