Local Area Events for After the Utah Valley Marathon

This year’s Utah Valley Marathon will take place Saturday June 8th . The event attracts many visitors from around the country. In addition to the marathon, there are numerous sites to see and events to attend before and after the marathon.

Pedal Provo Ghost Tours
Downtown Provo

This event takes place every Friday and Saturday during the summer. The event is a bicycle tour around the town, visiting the cemetery and Exchange Park. There is a small fee associated with the event.

The Velour Live Music
Provo

Home to Provo’s eclectic music scene, the Velour spawned Imagine Dragons. Its growing popularity has become a popular destination for visitors to the area, offering live music every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Sounds of Freedom Festival
Layton Commons Park

This event is for military personnel and their families. Saturday night will feature a movie night in the park. Sunday will feature a car show, vendor booths, a flag ceremony, and live music.

A wonderful story of mistaken identities, young lovers, and one ugly guy in a dress. If you enjoy theater, this production is just what you’re looking for.

Springville Art City Days
South Main Street, Springville

A short drive south of Provo will take you to Springville Art Days. Saturday will be the last day of the event, so visit the family-friendly event if you have the time. There will be concerts, contests, parades, fireworks, and a children’s art festival. Perfect if you’re bringing your family to the marathon.

The Urban Flea Market
The Gateway, Salt Lake City

Salt Lake’s biggest flea market features over 80 vendors, live music, food trucks, and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of North Utah. Offerings include modern, vintage, and handcrafted goods.
